It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry Turcotte on Monday, December 26, 2022, at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Terry leaves behind his longtime partner Beverley Theriault from Sudbury, loving and proud father of Adam from Montreal, his stepdaughter Angela (Carolyn) from Seattle, WA, and his sister Laurie (Alex, predeceased) Walker from London, ON. Terry will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Hector and Grace (nee Wilson) Turcotte of Kirkland Lake. Also predeceased by his brothers Hector, Paul (Leona, surviving), David and his sister Irene.
Terry was a dedicated worker and retired from a vocation he loved with INCO after 35 years of service as a Ventilation Supervisor leaving behind friends and colleagues he respected and genuinely enjoyed being around.
Although Terry was a man of few words, he truly enjoyed his life. His son Adam was his world, and he savored every moment with him. He also had a special bond with his 2 dogs Indy and Riley who were always by his side. Terry loved watching sports, especially the Seattle Seahawks and shared special times with his stepdaughter Angela. Terry loved spending time at camp. He always made sure every bird, squirrel and chipmunk had enough bird food and peanuts to eat.
We would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to the CMU 5th floor staff at Health Sciences North who made Terry’s final journey bearable and to Joe B., Terry’s good friend for over 50 years.
At Terry’s request cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
