It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at her home, surrounded by family and friends after a short but brave battle with cancer. Dedicated and devoted wife of Ellis Tiller, strong and supportive mother of Sandra (Mike Brosseau) and Jeff (Natalie Hazell). Proud and doting Grandma to Matthew, Mark, Fred and Hazel. Born in Sop’s Arm, NL, she was the daughter of the late Leander and Hazel (Kearley) Budden. She is survived by her siblings Shirley, Audrey, Lorraine, Doug and Darlene. Special thanks to Stacey, Betty-Ann, Brynn and Brogan for their compassionate care for Joan. Family and friends are welcome to drop by the family home on Algonquin Rd, Friday, May 15th between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. to celebrate Joan’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sudbury Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Day Program or charity of your choice would be appreciated. As a former co-worker of Joan’s, I fondly remember her sense of humour and good nature. My condolences to her family.
