It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Kalevi Tikkanen on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Health Sciences North at the age of 84 years. Born in 1934 in Port Arthur to the late Ollie and Esther Tikkanen. Loving husband of Margaret (Peggy). Cherished father of Andrew (Nikki) and Susan (Lee). Loving grandfather of Rebecca, Brandon and Kellen. He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends. Kalevi worked for CNR as a Locomotive Engineer for 35 years before retiring and enjoying his free time. He enjoyed golfing and chatting with his friends at the coffee shop but most importantly what brought him his greatest joy was spending time with his family. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
