Thompson, Daniel “Danny”

It is with heavy hearts, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, that the family announces the peaceful passing of Daniel "Danny" Thompson,79 years of age, on Friday January 12th, 2024 at his home surrounded by loving family. Danny is survived by his wife Eleanor Thompson, the love of his life, and best friend of 60 years.

Beloved father of Jeff and Jason (Jennifer). Cherished grandfather to Zachary and Tyler. Whom he loved with all his heart. Dear brother of Johnny and Terry (Linda), both brothers predeceased. Survived by sister Bonnie (Keith). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Danny retired from Falconbridge after 30 years of service. He went on to enjoy his retirement and could often be found watching his grandson's playing many different sports over the years. Danny loved fishing with his best friends Lornie (predeceased) and Nick. He loved singing along to the Everly Brothers daily. Danny's other talents included his artistic drawings and wood carvings. He also loved family get togethers and BBQ’s where he could be found doing what he did best, making people laugh.

He will be sadly missed by all and will never be forgotten.
The family would like to thank his Doctors, Dr. Mongeon, Dr. Walton and the homecare team form Bayshore, especially Christina for their care and compassion.

There will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
