Charles Yves Tessier, 70, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice, after battling cancer for nine years. Beloved son of the late Jean- Baptiste Tessier and the late Therese Charbonneau. Loving husband of 48 years to Liliane Tessier (Laurin). Dear father to Brigitte Labby (Tessier) and Christien Tessier (predeceased in 2007). Cherished Pepere to Morgan, Ryan, Adrienne and Genevieve. Dear brother of Roger (predeceased), Marie (Bruno), Lise (Claude), Laurent (Marie), Francoise (Ken), Denise (Robert predeceased), Denis (Dorothy), Rachelle (Larry), Gaetan (Mary), Gaetanne (Bill), Claire (predeceased), Michel (Lisa), Christine (Raymond) and Normand. Charles was a member of U.A. Local Union 800. He worked in different fields throughout his working career as a journeyman and supervisor in Alberta and Ontario. He enjoyed his leisure time fishing, hunting and spending time at his home for 16 years on the French River. He will always be remembered as the joker and storyteller right up to the end of his life. He will be missed by many friends and family. We would like to thank Dr. Cano at the Cancer Centre for his compassionate care he gave Charles for 9 years. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 11am, at St. Agnes Church, 15 St. Agnes St in Azilda.
