Szarko,Frank

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Frank Szarko (67 years) on October 3rd, 2022 after a brief illness. Frank has gone to join his heavenly family: father Steve, mother Margaret, sister Helen, brother Steve Jr and wife Patty, and brother Johny.

He leaves behind to mourn his daughter Alexandra Odeesho (Melad), and son Cody Szarko (John Litzler) (mother Lynn), the apples of his eye, grandchildren Chloe and Zain Odeesho; sister Margaret Patry (Pierre), sister Annie Szarko, sister-in-law Dagmar Plavins-Szarko, and sisters from another mister Valerie Wilson and Karen Rocca. He is also survived by his biological daughters Samantha and Sabrina.

He will be missed by friends Steve and Diane Williamson, Steve and Rose Szarko, Peter Boudreau, Andy and Mel Lebel, and Pete Bouillon, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Frank grew up in Azilda and spent countless hours at the hockey rinks where he set many records. He also helped his brother Johny start his music career. While his adult life brought him down some difficult paths, he was moving in a positive direction and was working on re-establishing himself.

The family also wishes to thank the HSN nurses, medical, and support staff in Emerg, CMU, ICU, and 5-south for their kind, and compassionate care of both Frank and his family.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 25th from 2pm to 7pm at the Chelmsford Legion 3524 Errington Street, Chelmsford. Please join us and share your stories about Frank.
