It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Giuseppe (Joe) Stradiotto announces his passing on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in the comfort of his home at Walford on The Park at the age of 89.
Born in Loria, Italy to the late Anacleto and the late Maria Stradiotto (née Cinel).
Loving father of Maria Pia (Lorenzo Favaro predeceased), Daniela (Luciano Gazzola) and Linda (Erminio Zen). Cherished Nonno of Claudia Favaro (Luca Fogale); Alessandro Favaro (Laura); Paolo Favaro, Sylvia Gazzola (Paolo Ros), Alberto Gazzola, Steven Zen and Deborah Zen. Loving Bisnonno of Leonardo Favaro and Giacomo Ros. Loving brother of Don Celio (predeceased), Don Lino (predeceased), Mario (Giovanna Zanchetta both predeceased), Norma ( Silvano Betti); Tarcisio Stradiotto (Carla Pierobon), Agnese (Leonardo Malavolti predeceased) and Don Luciano ( predeceased). Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy. Giuseppe came to Canada in 1951 and started Joe’s Body Shop in 1954. He was a devout Catholic, outgoing, and friendly. He will be sadly missed. We take comfort knowing that he is smiling down on us now. The family would like to offer our sincerest thank you and gratitude to the physicians and Staff at Health Sciences North, especially Dr. R. Singh, Dr. Lam, Dr. Davidson, Dr. Saunders, and Dr. Mehta. A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Witkowski, Lindsay (Bayshore), Nirali Christie and the Staff at Walford on The Park in Copper Cliff, Linda Emms, Lee-Ann Scott, Suzanne Lamoureux and all the other caregivers for the excellent care, support, and compassion they provided to Giuseppe. As well as Jim and Janice at Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd for their help and guidance through this difficult time.
A special thank you to his niece Susan, brother Tarcisio and sister-in-law Carla who were his caregivers in the last few years of his life. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
