In loving memory of Deborah (Debbie) Alice Sorrie, 51 years of age who passed away on Thursday, July 27th., 2017 at Health Sciences North. Loving mother of Brody Sorrie-Tremblay. Dear sister of Ronald Sorrie (wife Lynda) and beloved Aunt of Ashley, Kaylie and Riley. Predeceased by her parents Clarence & Eileen Sorrie. Debbie was a lover of animals especially cats and elephants. She lived her life as a vegetarian and would say it wasn't because of her love of animals but that she hated plants. Debbie was a kindred spirit who lived life according to her wishes. She touched many lives and she will be missed greatly by all. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Diabetes Association.

Debbie was a person we all strive to be like. She stood up for people who could not stand on their own; had no problem telling a bully ; that they were a bully and always helped out where she could. I worked with Debbie at Target and she always went the extra mile; sure to help anyone who came across her path; who needed help; whether it was something small she could do to brighten their day or by providing a listening ear. She loved her son deeply and spoke of him often with a smile in her eyes. Her spirit will live on in all who were privileged enough to have their threads crossed with hers…

So sorry to hear of Debbie’s passing. She was a caring, beautiful soul and will always be remembered. She loved her son so much and always spoke of him. She was proud of him and did everything for him. She was far too young. It is never easy losing a mother.. only time can help makes things easier. The year of firsts and tidal waves of emotions will be hard. Brody, she loved you, never doubt that. Know that she will always be in your heart and your mind and more often than not, she will be beside you cheering you on in your life and all that you will do and will accomplish. My heartfelt sympathies to Brody and close fa family members. Debbie was a childhood neighbor and friend for which many good memories were made. She was a close friend of my sister Cathy Keown who has since passed 6 years ago and I hope they can now reunite and live on in heaven with no pain or suffering….just peace, happiness and good times! Sending positive energy your way and may the sunshine and good memories dry your tears.
