It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Smith, 79 years with her family by her side, at Pioneer Manor on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Carol was the beloved wife and best friend of Ralph Smith. Loving mother of Deborah Oja (Al) of Copper Cliff, Chris Smith (Fay) of Val Caron, Sean Smith (Lisa) of Chelmsford and K-9 kid Sparky. Cherished grandmother of Michaela, Owen, and Brock. Dearly loved sister of Gary McDonald (Sue), Sharon Bridger (Brian), and predeceased by her sister Gay Daily (husband Leonard). Fondly remembered by the Smith family, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Her focus in life came from the times she was able to spend with her grandchildren who brought her great pride and joy. Carol enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed the times spent at camp with her husband and friends, whether they were out on the trails in their RZR, fishing, playing games, enjoying amazing fish fries or relaxing by the campfire. She was always there to lend a helping hand, especially when it came to helping people feel their best through her skills and training in massage therapy or Reiki. A gifted and skilled seamstress, she made clothing and a variety of gifts for family and friends. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
No more pain and suffering no more silence. Your Angel wings are gained you can now communicate freely. God has opened his arms to welcome you, Rest in Peace till we meet again.
There will be no visitation or services due to Covid, only a small Celebration of Life with her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory can be made directly to the Alzheimer Society.
