Loving father of Josée Pilon-Jacques (Ghislain), Emma Shepherd, Micky Shepherd (Carly), Leisa Martin Heath (Bill), Craig Martin and Paul Martin (Toby). Proud Papa and Grandpa to Sarah, Noah, Gabriel, Elwyn, Shea, Arri, Karissa, Samantha, Liam, Chelsea, Cameron, Jason, Jamie and Aleisha. Michael was predeceased by his parents Gwendolyn Amy Moss and Joseph Martin as well as his sister Angela Martin. In addition to family and friends, he will be missed by many whose life he has touched throughout his journey.

Michael lived a full life following his heart and passion. Michael was an actor, playwright, and stage director. He performed in many theatres across Canada (Stratford, New Brunswick, Toronto, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Sudbury, etc.). He had a few TV credits under his belt and also loved to write short stories and plays.

Michael also had great compassion and loved to use his craft to advocate for the downtrodden and the underdog. He was an active member of Trinity United Church which was like a family to him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his community involvement, his generosity, and his talent both on and off the stage. Michael has touched the lives of many people throughout his 91 years on earth and his legacy will live on in the heart of people who loved him.

The family would like to thank the Cancer Treatment Center, Bayshore Health Care, Canadian Shield, Paramed Home Health Care, and everyone who was part of his circle of care.

A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2022.
