Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the Maison McCulloch Hospice at the age of 90 years.
Predeceased by his parents John and Tyyne (nee Kenttala) Salo. Beloved husband for 70 years to Rosette (nee Leblanc), together they had 7 children. Loving son Ken (Val), and their son Tyler (Jen) and their daughter Fiona. Loving son Richard (Debbie) and their son Nathan and his daughter Kate-Lynn (Robin Goode) and daughter Amber (Jamie Steinke) and their daughter Kenzie. Loving son Michael (Budsaba Aonwiang). Loving daughter Deborah (nee Salo) (Fred, predeceased) Buchy and his granddaughter Shannon Martin. Loving daughter Lisa (nee Salo) (Randy) Watts and their daughter Ashley (Chad) Happy and their children Lucas, Brayden and Paisley. Loving daughter Kayla (Ahmed) Hassan and their children Talia and Aiden, all of Ottawa. Loving daughter Tina (nee Salo) and her children Nicholas Bradley and Emily Bradley. Loving son Darrin (Sandra nee Gallen) Salo. And their children Gabriel, Anthony (Julianna) and Benjamin (Taylor). Dear brother of the late Selma Nyysola (Aimo, predeceased) and Shirley Salo.
Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing and travelling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice and would be appreciated by his family.
As per Alberts wishes, a private service and cremation have taken place.

I am saddened to hear of Bert’s passing. We worked together at the Town of Walden for many years. I have fond memories of Bert at work as well as hunting and fishing over the years. RIP Whitiey.
