Salem, Kenneth “Ken”

May 6, 1946 - December 16, 2021 (75 years old)

Kenneth John Salem passed away peacefully at Maison McCulloch Hospice on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the age of 75 years after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Husband of Artonse “Art” Salem (nee Quesnelle). Son of the late Edward and Mary Salem (nee Boldis). Loving father of Richard and Carolyn. Dear brother of Lillian Scully (Norman) both predeceased, Dennis (Donna predeceased) and twin brother Ronald (Jane). He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Ken proudly worked 42 years for the City of Greater Sudbury Parking Section. In his younger years he was an avid league bowler. Through bowling he met his wife and together they passed their love of the sport onto their children.

In retirement he enjoyed going for coffee, watching hockey and taking long rides in his “gas guzzling” vehicles.

His many quirks, silly jokes and funny moments will be fondly remembered.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Krawczuk as well as the staff at Bayshore Home Health, Maison McCulloch Hospice and the LHIN for their support and care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s name can be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
