Passed away peacefully with family by her side after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the age of 38 years at the Maison MacCulloch Hospice.
Beloved wife to Beau for 13 years (together for 16). Melissa endured everything during her cancer journey for the raw, pure love she had for her son, Tristan, she cherished every moment with him. Revered daughter of Andrea Bacon and Daniel MacLeod. Dear sister of Justin (Lindsay) MacLeod. Melissa will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, God-mother/great aunt, many friends and her YACC family.
The family wishes to express Many thanks to the staff at the Maison MacCulloch Hospice and the folks at YACC for the kindness, care and support provided, to Adam Moore, who never says “no” and was always there to help any way he could. You will never know how much comfort your words and assistance have meant to us, we will always remember that.
If desired, donations may be made to the Maison MacCulloch Hospice or Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) and would be appreciated by the family.
A Celebration of Melissa’s Life will be held at a later date.

So sad to know Melissa has left this world, but so happy that I had the chance to know her. She was active with YACC and made a huge impression on so many of us.

My condolences to Beau, Tristan, the Saitti and MacLeod families, and all of Melissa’s friends and colleagues. I know there are no words that can ease your pain.
Melissa and Beau have been such great friends to me, and I definitely did not get to spend enough time with them over the last few years living away from home. I’ll treasure all the memories, from the shenanigans of getting new paint on the wall streak free, to the small get togethers for tea in the kitchen. I’ll miss Melissa’s advice and infectious laughter. Rest peacefully, Melissa.
