The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Rollande Ruest at Maison Vale Hospice on Monday, September 5, 2016, at the age of 91, the day of her 70th wedding anniversary. Daughter of the late Henri Bourgeault and Domethilda Beauparlant. Beloved wife of Raymond Ruest of Azilda. Loving mother of Denise Johnston (Lee), Henri (Pauline), Nicole Charette (Jacques), Jeannette McKee (Delmar - predeceased), Rose Dubois (Gérald - predeceased) (Robin), Céline (James Bittle), Rachel Desjardins (Robert), André (predeceased) (Linda Dugas), Jean-Charles (Carrie). She is survived by 26 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Jean-Paul Bourgeault (Rose), Thérèse Noël (Roméo - predeceased), Colette Régimbal (Jean) and Cécile Lalonde (Gérald Baizana and Albert Lalonde - predeceased). Predeceased by her siblings Claire Poirier, Marcel Bourgeault, Henriette Landry, Jean-Claude Bourgeault, Guy Bourgeault, Gilles Bourgeault and Marthe Deschamps. Rollande will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was an excellent cook, entirely devoted to her family, always friendly and smiling, and she was involved with la Fédération des Femmes Canadiennes Françaises at Ste. Agnès Church as well as le Club Accueil in Azilda. A big thank you to nurse Doris and the CCAC personal support staff who provided Rollande with exceptional home care, as well as the doctors, nurses, volunteers and the support staff of Maison Vale Hospice for all you have done for our dear wife and mother. The family will receive relatives and friends at Ste. Agnès church, 15 Ste. Agnès St., Azilda, on Saturday September 17, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow on Sunday September 18, 2016 after the 8:30 a.m. Mass in Cartier. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
