It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Raymond Ruest surrounded by family at Maison McCulloch Hospice on Saturday, January 19th, 2019, at the age of 93. Son of the late Herménégilde Ruest and late Jeanne Couture. Beloved husband of the late Rollande (Bourgeault) Ruest of Azilda. Loving father of Denise (Lee Johnston), Henri (Pauline Rochon), Nicole (Jacques Charette), Jeannette (Delmar McKee - predeceased), Marie-Rose (Gérald Dubois - predeceased), Céline (James Bittle), Rachel, André (predeceased) (Linda Dugas), Jean-Charles (Carrie). He is survived and will be missed by 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings Adelme, Rosaire, Cécile, Benoît, Jean-Eudes, Mathieu, Épiphane, and Émmanuel. Raymond will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was very devoted to his family, always friendly and smiling, and was involved in many social activities with the Club d’âge d’or and the prayer group at Ste. Agnès Church in Azilda. We wish to thank the support staff of Maison McCulloch Hospice for all you have done for our dear father. The family will receive relatives and friends at Ste. Agnès church, 15 Ste. Agnès St., Azilda, on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. and interment will be held in the spring after a mass in Cartier. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Ste. Agnès Church would be appreciated.

Prédécédé par ses frères Adelme, Rosaire, Benoît, Jean-Eudes, Mathieu, Épiphane, et Émmanuel ainsi que sa soeur Cécile. Raymond manquera énormément à tous ses neveux, ses nièces, et ses amis. Il était un père dévoué à sa famille, toujours souriant et accueillant, et impliqué dans plusieurs activités sociales du Club d’âge d’or et le groupe de prière à l'église Ste. Agnès d'Azilda . Nous souhaitons remercier le personnel de soutien de la Maison McCulloch Hospice pour tout ce que vous avez fait pour notre cher père. La famille recevra les parents et amis à l’église Ste. Agnès, 15 rue Ste. Agnès, Azilda, le samedi 2 février, 2019 à compter de 10h00. La messe funéraire suivra à 11h00 et l’enterrement aura lieu ce printemps après une messe à Cartier.
