Royer, Elizabeth Ann

In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Ann Royer (nee Del Bosco), 82 years passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Predeceased by her parents Armando and Teresa Del Bosco (nee Sartoretto). Beloved wife of the late John Raymond Royer (predeceased 2011). Loving mother of Debbie (Joe), Kim (Derrick), John (Lorie), Michelle and Liz. Cherished Nana of Terrie, Anthony, Rebecca, Rachel, Ryan, Lynsie, Johnny, Samantha, Kendra and Great Nana II of Riley, Quinten, Alessia and Jack. Born in Rouyn, QC she came from a loving family growing up and well guarded by her 3 older and 3 younger brothers, Willie, Roger, Armando, Vic, Don and Art. She will also be missed by her “kissing cousin” (7th brother) John and Maria who was more of a “sister” to our mother than a sister-in-law. She was a loving and caring mother who raised 5 beautiful children. When her children were very young it was a family tradition to take her kids to the Toronto Santa Claus Parade on the TTC. She was an amazing cook and baker, her children would always look forward to her Sunday roast beef dinners, for which she became known as the “gravy queen”. Elizabeth was an avid reader, who enjoyed sewing, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and partridge hunting with her canine friends Mik and Remik. There were so many wonderful years and beautiful memories created at her home on Kukagami Lake. We would like to thank Dr deBlacam and Dr.Cameron along with the nurses and staff on the 6th Floor, South Tower in the Respiratory Unit at Health Sciences North. A special thank you to the nurses Andrew, Angel, Crystal and Lisa (of 4 North) who took extra special care of our mother, along with the PSW’s Margaret, Stephanie, Kathy and Allyssia. A heartfelt thank you to nurse Christine, for her care, love and compassion provided for our mom and helping ease her journey home to be with our dad John. The family would especially like to recognize and thank our “Angel” amongst us, Liz (Betty’s youngest daughter), who gave tirelessly of herself over this past year for the care of our mom. A Celebration of Elizabeth’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made directly to Health Sciences North - Respiratory Unit (6 South).
