Roy, Jacques “Jake”

The family announces with sadness the passing of Jacques “Jake” Roy on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. Gabriel’s Villa in Chelmsford. Son of the late Albert and Evangéline Roy (nee Farmer). Loving and cherished partner of Gaëtane Savage (nee Guenette). Beloved father of Lisa Roy-Sidock (Len) of Blind River, step father of Stéphane Savage (Karen) and Jean Savage (Anne). Doting grandfather of Micheal, Johnathan, Daniel, Nick, Eric, Mathieu, Marc and Natasha. Brother of Marie-Berthe Gerling (late Ron), Sylvio (Réjeanne), Marguerite Rhéaume (Robert), Paulette Dumas (Marcel), Gérald (predeceased), Raymond and Yvan. Sadly missed by many brother’s in law, sister’s in law, nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Dr’s, nurses and staff at St. Gabriel’s Villa for the care and compassion they have provided Jake and his family. As per Jake’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St Joseph’s church, 3594 Errington St., Chelmsford, ON. In lieu of flowers, donation made directly to the Alzheimer’s society would be appreciated.
