Roy, Gerald “Butch” (1951 – 2016)

In loving memory of Butch Roy who passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2016 at his residence in Chelmsford, at the age of 65. Born in Sudbury, ON to the late Albert and Evangeline (nee Farmer) Roy. Loving brother of Jake (Gaëtanne) Roy, Marie-Berthe Gerling (Ronald – predeceased), Sylvio Roy (Réjeanne), Marguerite Rhéaume (Robert), Paulette Dumas (Marcel), Raymond Roy and Yvan Roy. Sadly missed by nieces Lisa, Chantal, Deanna and nephews Todd, Rodney, Robert, Jason, Eric, Jaime, Michael, Cory, Jean, Stéphane and Chad whom he cherished and adored.  He will be especially missed by his best friend Big Moe Vachon and his family. Butch lived life to the fullest with friends and family, enjoying boating on the Vermillion river, campfires and playing in hockey tournaments with the Lefebvre’s, and his favorite team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. Upon his retirement, he obtained his Motorcycle licence and bought himself a BMW motorcycle that he enjoyed riding. He had the opportunity to take a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon and watch hockey in style as he put it, in the Buffalo Sabres box seats. As many who knew butch would say;

“Everyone should have an uncle Butch
