It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert H. Rowlandson announces his passing on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Health Sciences North at the age of 79 yrs. Born in Orillia to the late Harold and the late Lucy Rowlandson (née Tubman). Beloved husband of Suzanne Pelletier. Father of Robert (Jody), Pete (Cindy) and Jeff (Wendy). Loving grandfather of Haley, Jaden, Breanna, and Donny. Survived by his siblings Laurie (Linda), Daryl (Lynne, Sharen (Keith), Mike (Judy), Marie (Rob), David (Sally) and predeceased by his sister Sheila, brother Donny and stepmother Wilda (née Berndt). Robert worked in retail for over 43 years. But for 23 of those years, he was the proud owner of the Giant Tiger in Sturgeon Falls and Scott’s discount in Mattawa. When Bob had free time, he enjoyed quadding. As per his wishes there will be no visitation or service. I just heard of Bob’s passing. I only knew him for a short while and it is a shame that there was not more time. My condolences to Sue and the family.

Our family was very sad to hear this we are deeply sorry as well as the gang from Tim Hortons on Barrydowne Road were very sad to hear. It was a pleasure to serve him his med mocha and plain bagel, double toasted with butter. Rest in peace my friend.

I went on several ATV trips in Mattawa, with Bob, cleaning the trails.
He was one of the nicest guys that I could have ever rode with, and when we used to ride with Sue, it was always so comical because he used to tease her and get her all hot and bothered.
After he left Mattawa, it was not the same at all riding on the trails, as I missed him very much.
My very sincere condolences to Sue and the Family.
