Passed away from complications following surgery on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Born on October 24, 1944 in Spanish, ON he was the son of the late Alexander and Marguerite (Caron) Ross. He is survived by Orma Schroeder and her children Karen (Ron), Dean (Debbie), Terence (Veronique) and by his children Mitchell (Tracey) and Patricia Ross. Cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Elaine Beaton of Powassan, Evelyn LeBlanc, Denice Miron, Carolyn Ross all of Elliot Lake, Marolyn Kennedy of Fauquier and Joyce McEachern (predeceased). Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mike was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and fishing at every opportunity with his beloved Orma. He had a great fondness and appreciation for wildlife and nature especially for the flock of birds that they were fortunate to have visiting their backyard. He was a true animal lover who could not tolerate seeing animals being abused. Michael was also a member of Kind & Caring People of the World. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Queensway Pentecostal Church, 270 Queensway Avenue, Espanola, ON, Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends are welcome after 12:00 p.m. Luncheon to follow in the Church Hall. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
