It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sheila Riegel at Health Sciences North on June 9, 2018 at the age of 73. Wife of Carmen Bowes (predeceased) and Bernard Riegel (predeceased). Daughter of the late Frank and Cecilia (nee Haughian) Heisler. Mother of Lana (Michael) and Lyle. Grandmother of Ethan, Kate-Lynne, and Madison, as well as Kurtis (predeceased), Dylan (predeceased) and Tyler (predeceased). She will be missed by her siblings out West, Sharon (Les), Mary Lynn (Darryl), Eileen, Rita (Don) and Len (Mavis). Sheila is predeceased by her 2 brothers, Lorne (Barb) and Ted (Grace - predeceased). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. At Sheila’s request there will be no visitation or service. Donations can be made directly to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Lana and Mike would like to say a special “Thank You” to all the nurses and doctors in the dialysis unit, as well as to Handi Transit for all the help and compassion they provided to Sheila. She would be forever grateful to you all! As well, “Thank You” to the ICU nurses and doctors who were a great comfort to her and helped in making her passing peaceful.
