Rheaume, Gilles – September 8,1950 — March 16, 2019

In loving memory of Gilles Rheaume 68 years who passed away early Saturday morning, March 16, 2019 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury, ON. Loving brother of Roberta Brown (Jim) both predeceased, Richard Rheaume, (Raymonde predeceased), and Nicole Chartrand. Cherished uncle of Shawna Brown (Robbie Levac), Joel Rheaume, Andre Chartrand, Vanessa Brown (Matt Hudson) and Marc Chartrand. The family would like to send a special thank you to those who came to visit Gilles while in hospital in his final weeks. A heartfelt thank you to the caring staff at Health Sciences North, 6th Floor South, for their compassionate and professional care provided for Gilles in his final days and the support and comfort to his immediate family during this difficult time. Also in addition, a special thank you to the caring staff at the Kirkwood Place, Sudbury, ON. Gilles was a son of the late Lionel Rheaume who was a Founder to the community of Dowling, ON. Gilles lived in Dowling for most of his life and was employed by INCO (Vale Canada) for 30 years and enjoyed many years of retirement life. He was devoted to the care of his mother, Toni (predeceased) after the passing of his father. A kind, gentle soul who had a passion for music and spending time with his nieces, nephews and life long friends. He will be sadly missed by all, especially by his sister Nicole. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at The Holy Redeemer Parish, 1887 Bancroft Drive, Sudbury, friends and family are welcome after 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1553 Weller Street, Sudbury. If desired, donations can be made directly to the Parkinson's Society or Health Sciences North - Respiratory Unit would be appreciated.
