Rainville, Hector

Peacefully on Friday May 12, 2023 at Health Sciences North Hector Rainville passed away, with his beloved wife Elizabeth “Betty” Rainville (née Boyd) by his side.  Loving father of Luc (Lise) and Lorie-Anne of Caen France. Dear grandfather of Caroline, Charles, and Samantha. Great Grandfather of Victor. Son of the late Lucien and Laurette Laroque.  Dear brother of Lionel (predeceased), Jeannine (Fern), Lilliane (Victor), Laurette (Ron predeceased), Rita (Emile predeceased). Sadly, missed by many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.  Hector worked at INCO for 14 years then became a firefighter for the town of Valley East for 23years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He spent great and happy times at his camp in Westree. Many thanks go out to Dr. Mahoney, the nurses and PSW’s on the sixth floor of the South Tower for the care and compassion provided to Hector; as well as PSW’s Tara, Renne and Kerrie who cared for him at home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 P.M, on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Carrefour Sen Rheal Belisle; 2777 Main St, Blezard Valley, ON. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 A.M on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Notre Dame du Rosaire Church; 2758 Main Street, Blezard Valley, ON.
