Raftis, Olivine Margaret (Dimp)

In Loving Memory of Olivine Margaret Raftis (Dimp), 90 years who passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre, Sudbury. She is predeceased by her husband Johnny in 2003, and by her parents Marcella Lapenskie in 1995 and Peter Lapenskie in 1998. Beloved mother of five; Daniel (Andrea) of North Bay, Diane of Sudbury, Gerald of Kanata, Sharon (Rick) of Sudbury and Janice also of Sudbury. She was a loving grandmother of ten; Chris, Andrew, Karen-Anne, Emma, Rebekah, Noah, Matthew, Benjamin and was predeceased by her two angels Alexander and Thomas. Olivine was also a proud great-grandmother of five; Mila, Miles, Maeve, Madison and Alexander. Dearly loved sister of Ben (Georgette) Lapenskie, Dolores Burns, Lorenzo Lapenskie (predeceased) and Ruth Eaton (predeceased). Dimp will be fondly remembered by Donna Raftis of Kanata. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff and nurses of St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre for the wonderful care given to Olivine and especially to Dr.’s Maurice St Martin and Monique St Martin. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church, 39 Walford Road, Sudbury at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Inner City Homes, 251 Elm Street, Sudbury, ON P3C 1V5 in Olivine’s name would be greatly appreciated.

    Your Mum was a great Lady, so kind & caring, with a wonderful sense of humour, she will be missed, but now she is at peace & reunited with her husband John.
