Prowse, Veronica (nee Pilon)

July 25, 1949 – October 21, 2021

Our hearts are heavy and broken as we announce Vicki’s peaceful passing at home, surrounded by the love, warmth and faith of her family. She leaves behind her true soulmate and the love of her life Gary, her daughter Jennifer (Brent), son Steven, grandchildren Riley (Taya), Raya (Jay), Patrick and great-grandson Brent “Little B”. She is re-united with her parents, William and Rita Pilon, her in-laws Lloyd and Ruth Prowse and her brother Richard. She will be greatly missed by her siblings, Victor (Marie), Bobby (Giselle), Mary, her brother-in-law Wayne (Kathy), sister-in-law Carol (Ken), sister-in-law Heather and all her nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. Veronica was so many things to so many people. She was an elementary school teacher in our community for over 30 years and treated every student like she did her own children. Her passion for learning and helping people was an inspiration to many. She loved playing cards and going on crazy adventures with the most amazing friends anyone could ask for. She was truly blessed when it came to the friends she had. Everyone loved Vicki. Above everything she was an amazing wife, mother and nana. In keeping with her wishes there will be no service. Donation on her behalf can be made to the Northern Cancer Centre, or SickKids Foundation in Toronto.

  1. Gary and family. True love like you two had is rare, to be remembered fondly.

Veronica was telling me at the last reunion about your meeting when she was 14 how she truly loved you as much that day as when you first loved each other. Always remember how great she was

  9. My sincerest condolences to you all, to say that Mrs Prowse was an amazing lady is an understatement. She was everything you wished for in a teacher and mentor to so many, myself included, we are all better for having her in our lives. The loveliest part of being from Lively is being able to still mingle with the wonderful people who helped to shape our lives, and through all the years she never failed to make me feel like I was all that mattered to her in the moment. May she rest peacefully,
