September 29, 1930 - August 20, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Raymond Arthur Primeau in his 90th year on Thursday, August 20th at his home peacefully in the presence of family. Ray was the beloved husband of Rose (Frenette) and together they were in their 61st year of marriage. Loving father of Ann Marie, Donna Lyn (Tim), Raymond (Heather), and Jody. Very special Pepere to Jonathan, Kailey, and Matthew Sullivan, and Samantha and Benjamin Primeau. Ray was born and married Rose in Sudbury before becoming a resident of Onaping where he raised his family. He was employed by Falconbridge Nickel Mines for over 36 years. He had a fondness for spending time outdoors, tinkering in his garage, watching the news, sharing a tall tale, eating a good meal and spending time with family. Ray is predeceased by his parents Jack and Marie (Lefebvre) Primeau, brothers Jay and Melvin; and sister June Rossi. He is survived by his dear sister Sharon (Tom) Rioux. Ray will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Bayshore Home Care Services and especially Angie who supported Ray and the family with respect and compassion. Arrangements are entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services. In keeping with Ray’s wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. Family and Friends will hold a Celebration of Life mass at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Ray’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or a local charity of your choice.
