Phillips, Raymond James (A.K.A Tulip)

In loving memory of Raymond James Phillips who passed away peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Health Sciences North, at the age of 72. Loving son of Stanley Phillips(predeceased) and Mabel (Moggy) Sauder. Beloved husband of Cheryl (Villeneuve) Phillips. Cherished father of Jacqueline Woods (Philip), Karen Phillips and David Phillips (Amanda Fediuk). Devoted grandfather of Alexander and Cody Woods, Joseph and Alyssa Phillips. Brother of Carolyn Calback (George), Dorothy Rowe (Kenneth), Lyle Phillips, Sheila Phillips and Marguerite McMurry. Sadly, missed by many relatives and friends. Raymond was a true outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, hunting and being known as the “Mayor” of Deer Ridge Campground. He dedicated 35 yrs as a miner at Creighton Mines and was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. As per his wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. The family would like to thank the staff at the Northeast Cancer Center and Dr. Lopez for the care and compassion they have provided to Raymond, as well as friends and neighbours for their help and generosity. In lieu of flowers donations made directly to Maison Vale Hospice would be appreciated.
