With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce our mother’s passing on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Survived by her sons Kyle (Amanda) and Andrew. Loving Nonna of Hudson and Bennette. Dear daughter of Adriano (predeceased) and Renata Zandarin. Cherished sister of Robert and Laura (Antonio) Mina. She will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews Mitchell, Alysha, Kaitlyn, Mathew, Julia, Adrianna and her aunts and uncles and cousins from Italy. Lovingly cared for by her godmother Elisa Palladino. Dianna will be sadly missed by all her caring Peacock family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Patrick’s Church (39 Walford Rd., Sudbury, ON) on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 am. If desired, donations may be made to the NEO Kids Foundation.
Please accept my sincerest condolences Renata, Kyle Andrew and family. I got to know your beloved Mom, daughter, sister and Nonna during the time that my Dad was at Extendicare York. She connected with my Dad in a way that none of the other residents did. My Dad was a quiet man with Alzheimer’s and part of the time he was there I was away in Ohio with my new husband. Dianna and I stayed in touch and she always let me know how he was doing which was such a blessing to me as it was so difficult to be away. Dianna and I kind of look alike with dark curly hair, so he may have connected with her because of that. Regardless of the reason, I will always remember her as my Dad’s angel and I am eternally grateful for the friendship they had and we had as well. You and your family will continue to be in our prayers as you grieve the loss of such a lovely lady.
