Peacock, Beverly (nee Wiper)

In Loving memory of Beverly Jean Peacock, born on July 22nd, 1936, in Maidstone, Ontario.  The Family sadly announces her peaceful passing on January 22, 2022, at the age of 85 with her family at her side.  She was the beloved wife of Darl Peacock.  Loving mother of Robert (Anne-Marie), Kevin (Lina), Les (Roxanne- predeceased), Baby, Scott David (predeceased).  Cherished grandmother of Brendan (Celine), Ashley (Jason), Dylan, Kyle (Amanda), Andrew, Eric (Janelle), Jessica, Justin and great grandmother of Jacob, Brianna, Joshua, Austin, Olivia, Greyson, Hudson, and Bennet.  Sister to Janet (Herbert- predeceased) Wohlfahrt. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Beverly was born to Robert and Laura Wiper and raised in Massey where she met the love of her life and best friend on a blind date which was arranged by her sister and brother-in-law.  They were soon married and celebrated 65 beautiful years together.

Bev touched the lives of many people over the years.  She was the warmest of hearts in the room, always happy to see you.   She was a great storyteller, a genuine time capsule of family memories, a gifted quilter, a sewer, a crafter, a gardener.  To Beverly and her family, her biggest role was that of a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and much adored Great Grandmother.

A family celebration of Beverly’s life will be held when the Grass is Green, the Sun is Shining, and the Birds are Singing.  Donations in Beverly’s memory can be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation https://www.heartandstroke.ca  and would be appreciated by the family.

  6. So many good memories of stories from Aunt Bev and such a great memory for details from the past. Mom and Dad were always so happy when Darl and Bev would visit from “up north”. I remember visiting Onaping and talking about gardening and Aunt Bev was very knowledgable and happy to be outside and garden. I remember she was extremely caring and proud of her children. She was part of the Peacock clan, married to Uncle Darl and they were all such a warm hearted and a kind bunch, Aunt Pat always very close to Aunt Bev and I’m remembering Uncle Lloyd and his huge laugh. I always thought I was so lucky to be part of this bunch. Your kind nature and good humour is remembered, Aunt Bev. Tim Fisher Sarnia, Ontario
