It is with heavy hearts that the Pasanen family announces the passing of Rickey Albert Pasanen, 69 years on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence. He is survived by his wife Gayle (nee Regan). Loving father of Lori Pasanen and step-father of Glenn Young (Sherri) and Neil Young (Wendy predeceased). Cherished grandfather of Cody Pasanen (the light of Rickey's life), Kaelyn, Liam, Willow, Jack and Milli. Born in Sudbury, he was the son of the late Albert and Aino (nee Kurkimaki) Pasanen. An avid Blackhawks fan, who was captain of the Sudbury Wolves in his younger days. He continued to inspire young players in a Managerial role as well as coaching baseball for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rickey’s memory can be made directly to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. A Celebration of Rickey’s life will be held at the Nickel City Tavern, 252 Hazel Street, Sudbury on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m-6:00 p.m.
