As Nancy Joan O’Brien, 81 years, joins her son Michael on top of the mountain overlooking camp that was heaven on earth for her, she is finally home. From the wonderous sun rises to the lovely sunsets, she will continue to look over her family with love and pride. Mike and Joan were blessed with five children, Debbie (Gord), Kim (Randy), Karen (Doug), Michael – predeceased, and Patrick (Tiffany). Some may have moved across Canada, but camp is home. The camp, like for Joan, is the center of their hearts. Now while resting on the hill, Joan will continue to hear the laughter of her 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. We will miss Joan’s sly smile when she was about to win at cards, we know she will be watching closely on all future card games played. Joan’s special relationship with Dr. Malloy and all he did for her will never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations made directly to the Northeast Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
