Napran, Hazel Alice

August 30th, 1931 – November 17th, 2022

It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we announce the passing of our family matriarch Hazel Alice Napran on the 17th day of November, 2022. She loved fiercely and we will forever grieve our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, Gigi, aunt, and friend. She fought a hard battle and left this world on her terms with her loving family by her side.

Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Napran. Predeceased by her loving parents Fredrick George Stitchman and Alice (Wellburn). Hazel’s legacy lives on through her children, Jeff Napran (Natalie), Cassandra Paquette (Gerry) and Janice Woito and her cherished grandchildren Jennifer Huber, Jonathan Huber (Courtney), Kaitlyn Huber (Peter), Trent Beaulieu (Montana) and Meadow Beaulieu (Christian). She absolutely adored her precious great grandson Rhys and will be fondly remembered as “Gigi”. Lovingly known as “Granny” to Mike, Shannon, Hayden, and Riley Bolger and Danikah Paquette. She will be dearly missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Hazel was loved and predeceased by her 8 brothers and 2 sisters and son in-law John Huber. Survived by her sister in-law Marie Stitchman.

Hazel was best known for her wit, her wonderful stories about her life and adventures, and positive outlook no matter the circumstance. She will fondly be remembered for her amazing sewing and knitting skills, her love for jigsaw puzzles and her excitement to always tackle any project. No job was ever too big as she was the queen of solutions with creative twists. She was a woman of many talents and could often be found baking up a storm in the kitchen. She had such a passion for travelling, learning about cultures, and volunteering her time towards her community. Above all her family was truly her prized possession. She showered everyone with love and support each and everyday we were blessed to have her.

Those we love don’t walk away,

They walk beside us everyday.

Unseen, unheard but always near,

Still loved, still missed and always dear.
