Mullally, Mark (Chico)

It is with great sadness that the Mullally family announces the passing of Mark Pius Mullally (A.K.A Chico) on December 17, 2016 at Health Sciences North at the age of 47. Best loved #1 son who was born in Sudbury on August 16, 1969 to Pius Mullally and Claire Ranger of Sudbury, wonderful caring brother to Nancy Somers and Melinda Butlin. Proud uncle to Eric and Mitch Chartrand, Logan and Morgan Donaldson of Sudbury and fur–Nephew Lewis. Mark had a wonderful family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins whom he all loved. For anyone who knew Mark, knows what a kindhearted, selfless man he always was. He was generous to a fault and helped out anyone. He would and has literally given the shirt off his back to help someone out. He was a brilliant mechanic who thought outside the box and would “MacGyver” what he needed to fix any car if he didn’t have the tool or the part wasn’t invented yet. He would always take extra time, especially with his sweet elder ladies, calling them “my dear” or “sweetie” and never charging them a dime. He always had a warm bright smile for you and would drop everything to chat with you when you walked into the garage. He loved with his whole heart and gave with his whole soul. His loss will be felt by too many to count. Mark was a mentor to his nephews Eric and Mitch Chartrand and probably tought them more than their mother would of liked. He was a playful uncle to his nieces Logan and Morgan Donaldson. And he was always there for his family even when they didn’t need him. Growing up he was dad’s right hand man from everything to yardwork and vehicle repairs. He was his mom’s charming son and would have figured out a way to walk on water for her. Mark was a protective brother to both his sisters and always just wanted everyone to get along. As per his wishes there will be no visitation.

  1. Dear Claire, Pius, Nancy, and Melinda
I,m so sorry for your loss. Mark was always good to me and even though I was not his Aunt he always called me aunt Dianne. I didn’t see much of him in his adult life. But I will remember the beautiful child that would get excited and talk to me from the bottom of the door. I loved him no matter what and I will always keep him in my heart.

  5. I’m so sorry for your loss,,,,,I still can’t believe it, it seems like yesterday that I was speaking to him, Mark will truly be missed, I often think back at my childhood which were truly the best times of my life and Mark was a big part of it….after all, who else other than Gilles Fex, Pierre Gionet, Mark and myself would go to Queens athletic strap on skates then decide to have a race but nope not like regular people Mark decided that we would run from one end of the field to the other with our skates in 3 plus feet of snow no less….I have many stories like these with Mark that I hold very close to my heart, Mark was the kindest soul that anyone could have met and the friend that would always be there, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
