Morrow, Vernon J. (Butch)

Our lives are a little less bright as we sadly announce the sudden passing of Vernon James (Butch) Morrow on Sunday, April 10th, 2016, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury after a brief illness. Loving husband, best friend and soul mate for nearly 43 years to Helen (Martin) of Val Caron. Devoted father to Kelly (Aaron Phillips) of Chelmsford and Amanda (David Ranger) of Azilda. Proud grandfather to his four outstanding grandsons Noah, Niklas, Russell and William who cherished their time with him. Butch also leaves behind his sister Tina (Victor Garbutt) of Bobcageon, his in laws Joan (Bob Brooker) of Aurora, Ron Martin (Gisele) of Hanmer and Carol (Brian Restoule) of Garson. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Minnie and William as well as his brother Bill. Butch will be greatly missed by his many friends, especially Mike and Dianne Guerard with whom he shared a lifelong friendship. Butch retired from CNR in 1995 with 35 years of services. He proceeded to spend the next 20 years creating memories by travelling the world with his best friend by his side, stopping in Honolulu, Clearwater Beach and Disney World numerous times. His love and dedication to his family was his first and foremost priority in life and he lived every moment to the fullest and with no regret. Known for his amazing ability to express his sense of humor he would want everyone to remember him for his laughter and great story telling. The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences North, especially Dr. Puranam, Dr. Smith and the nurses on the 6th floor south tower for all of their care and compassion during Butch’s illness. At his request, there will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will be held at the Senator Rheal Belisle Cultural Center, 2777 Main St, Blezard Valley on Sunday, April 17th, 2016 from 1 pm to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
