Moore, Lauraine (nee Hickman)

It is with profound sorrow that the family announces the passing of the family matriarch Lauraine Moore (nee Hickman). Daughter of the late Ashley and Mary Hickman (nee Thomas). Long time companion and spouse of Steve Popowich Jr. (predeceased). Beloved mother of Heather Moore and William Moore (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother of Samantha, Amanda, Ashley, Hannah, William and great grandmother of Brooklyn, Wyatt, Liam, and Charlie. Loving sister of David (Cheryl).  She was loved by Steven 's family and many friends. On November 20, 2021, after a short illness Lauraine lost her battle to cancer. She was born in Belfast Ireland, lived in Toronto and became a long-time resident of Skead and the Greater Sudbury area. She had also been employed as a cook at Laurentian daycare. She will be missed by many for her grand laugh and huge kind heart. As per Lauraine’s wishes there will be no public service.
