With profound sorrow we announce the passing of Helen Irene Mitchell (Wupori) on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the age of 90. Loving wife of Carl Mitchell (predeceased 1971). Stepmother to Glen and Brian (predeceased 2014). Predeceased by her parents Stephen and Anne Wupori and siblings Archie, Victor, Florence, Margaret and Victoria. Beloved Baba to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dearly missed by nephew Larry Furmanic, nieces Maryann Meunier and Bobbie Stevenson. Helen’s nursing career spanned 40 years from Ontario to British Columbia with her retirement as Head Nurse-Obstetrics, in Orangeville 1988. Cremation has taken place. Interment to follow in Kirkland Lake Cemetery, Kirkland Lake. If desired, donations may be made directly to Neo Kids – Health Sciences North or the Alzheimer’s Society.
