Messina, Jeanne (née Charbonneau)

February 11, 1960 – October 20, 2020

In loving memory of Jeanne Messina (née Charbonneau). Beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, stepmother, and step-grandmother, Jeanne passed away Tuesday evening, October 20, 2020, at the Maison McCulloch Hospice Sudbury, at age 60. Beloved wife of Mario Messina. Jeanne was born February 11, 1960, the daughter of the late Désiré Joseph and Simone (née Beaudette) Charbonneau. Loving mother of Cynthia, Nadia (Scott MacNeil). Cherished grandma of Isabel, Mateo, Julian, Liliana, and Gabriel. Valued stepmother of Kelsey (Shawn Lavallee) and Melanie (Matt). Loved step-grandmother of Liam and Zoe. Dear sister and best friend of Marcel (predeceased), Colette (predeceased), Yvette, Linda, Normand (predeceased), Diane, Anne, Suzanne, Guy, Claude, and Robert (predeceased). She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will sadly miss her. Jeanne was empathic, humble, kind, generous, self-sacrificing, displayed grace, lived her values, and was a shining light in the lives of all that had the fortune of meeting her. She enjoyed simple pleasures like coffee (especially Tim`s), travel, the water, and outdoor walks. She was passionate about her career and in mental health and her work with mental health, addictions, and Child and Family services. Above all else, Jeanne lived for her family and was ever willing to lend time, an ear or helping hand for those she loved. Funeral service was held at the Saint-Jean-De-Brébeuf Church followed by a celebration of life (**due to COVID attendance restrictions, the funeral service and celebration was streamed virtually on social media). Donations made directly to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
