Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Josef. Loving mom of Robert, Marcel (predeceased), Jean-Guy, Marc (Gloria) and Celeste (predeceased). Loving step mother of Tina, Shirley, Sandra, Joseph and Jennifer (Greg). Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Claire (Richard). Fondly remembered by her many friends and extended family members. Pete loved gardening, quilting and weaving, but most of all she was known for her hospitality and her ability to prepare wonderful meals. In keeping with Pete’s wishes there will be no service or visitation. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations in Pete’s memory can be made directly to the NEO Kids Foundation.
My heartfelt condolences to the family. I have so many fun memories of the family and especially Pete. I peeled thousands of pounds of potatoes for her one summer (she made me!), she showed me the best way to eat popcorn is with stick of cheese with mayo. She always had a smile for me and welcomed me in her home. I know my beautiful friend Celeste in heaven will be happy to see her again. She was so gracious and full of life, I am happy to have had the time with her. Best, Gina
