It is with deepest sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved Pauline Mercier (née Prevost) on Thursday, September 6, 2018 only two short days after her 68th birthday. She fought hard during her courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Florian Mercier and survived by her common-law spouse of 30 years Arthur Bérubé. Loving mother of Daniel Mercier (predeceased) (Erica predeceased), Donald Mercier-Kuula (husband Steven) and Benoit Mercier (Ann). Cherished grandmother of Danika, Derick, Izabella, Samantha (Jason) and Cory. Born in McGarry Township, ON she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Estelle (née Michaud) Prevost. Dear sister of Jacqueline (Cleo), Micheline (Paul predeceased), Yvette, Pierrette (Jean-Jacques), Emilien (predeceased) and Roger. She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law as well as by many nieces and nephews both in Ontario and Quebec. A skilled butcher, she also spent several years driving a bus. An avid outdoorswoman, Pauline was happiest when spending time on the farm with her many animals including her pets and livestock. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Maison McCulloch Hospice who were there to guide her through the last 3 weeks of her life. Their amazing guidance and special care not only to Pauline but our entire family is sincerely appreciated. In keeping with Pauline’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. Donations in her memory can be made directly to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
