Martin, William

We are saddened to announce the passing of William George Martin Sr. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 72. William passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.

Loving son of the late Kenneth and Marie Blanche (Ross). William leaves behind his wife Lucille who he adored, his son’s William Jr and Michael. Loving grandfather to Vember, Ella and Olivia. Dear brother of Elizabeth (Bob), Marg, John (Debbie), Leona (Lavern), and Nelson.

William leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by many friends including his best friend and brother-in-law Conrad and wife Carolyn.

William started his career at Moose Mountain Mine until its shut down, then worked at various welding shops where he finished his career with Nelson Welding. In 1998, William was forced to retire, where he moved on to travel the world. William also served in the Irish Regiment for 5 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
