It is with profound sorrow that his siblings announce the sudden and unexpected death, at his home in Onaping, ON, of their brother, Jamie Joseph Martin, (Jamie Joe), on Monday, July 27, 2020 at the age of 59 years. He leaves to mourn his loss, Candisse (late Ray) Turner, Jeff (Rhonda) Martin, Kim (Clem) Meunier, Timothy (Debbie) McKinnon all of Timmins, ON, Tracey (Fern) Comtois of Hanmer, ON, Rachelle (Nic) Palladino and Debbie-Lynn (Mike) Breau of Hamilton, ON. He was the father of Jesse and Allyssa Martin --- his beloved “Ally Cat”. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and his close friends in Onaping Falls. Jamie was predeceased by his nephew Scott McKinnon (2014) and by his “Rock”, his mother, Mellissa Martin (2007). Jamie was known for his excellent work ethic and his love of martial arts. He many years ago achieved the rank of Sixth Degree Black Belt and was presently working to master Aikido. Jamie was also an extremely witty man and his comical “zingers” will be missed by his family and by those who knew him. Oh, how Jamie loved to laugh! Following cremation, Jamie will be interred with his beloved mother at Commanda Cemetery in Golden Valley, ON at a date yet to be determined. His family asks that you honour Jamie’s memory by going out of your way to help someone or by making someone laugh and smile --- just to make their day. Rest in Love, Jamie Joe. We know you and Mom are banging pots together in Heaven! We all love you and will miss you deeply. Be sure to visit us from time to time. xoxoxo.
