It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Fred Manfred on March 8, 2020 at the age of 90 years at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of Eva Manfred for 69 years. Survived by one sister Mary Robison of Ocala Florida and predeceased by 2 brothers William and Tex. Cherished father of Clarence (predeceased), Pauline Lebeau (Raoul) of Val Therese, Jim (Colette–predeceased) of Sudbury, William (Ann) of Garson, Jane Racine (Regent) of Sudbury. Loving Grandfather of Charle, Danny, Troy, Crystal, Melissa, Morgan, Adam and Ashley. He will also be remembered by many great grandchildren. Fred worked as an underground miner for 43 years at INCO/VALE. Upon retiring he moved to his “Paradise” on Little Penache where he loved making wine, playing horseshoes, card nights, bonfires, and old-time country classics. The family wishes to extend numerous thanks to all the nurses from CCAC and Bayshore who looked after him with their excellent care. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
