Manfred, Eva Gertrude (nee Warren) – October 28, 1932 to March 11, 2020


It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Eva Manfred on March 11, 2020 at the age of 87 years at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Fred Manfred predeceased of 3 days. She had 2 brothers (Allan and Lawrence) and 2 sisters (Jeanette and Dorothy) all predeceased. Cherished mother of Clarence (predeceased), Pauline Lebeau (Raoul) of Val Therese, Jim (Colette – predeceased) of Sudbury, William (Ann) of Garson, Jane Racine (Regent) of Sudbury. Loving Grandmother of Charle, Danny, Troy, Crystal, Melissa, Morgan, Adam and Ashley. She will also be remembered by many great grandchildren. Eva was born in Digby, Nova Scotia and grew up in the village of Bear River. At the age of 19 with 2 children she moved to Sudbury to begin her married life with a miner. She started her own business as an upholsterer. Upon retiring took up crafts where she attended many craft shows. While retiring to “Paradise” on little
Penache she spent her days fishing on the dock. In their younger years Fred and her would spend their weekends at the horse track and she continued her love of the sport throughout her life. Recently you could often find her at the slots at Gateway Casino playing her favorite machine. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

  2. My deepest sympathy to the Manfred Family in the passing of their parents.
    Eva was a true friend and what I admired most was her honesty, she never embellished, it was what it was. Fred was truly a giant teddy bear, only Fred would eat a dish that wasn’t palpable and state how delicous it was.
    The July Birthdays at the lake were the best and my admiration for the Manfred family will always be cherished.
