It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Michael Malkoski at the age of 76 on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband of the late Joan Carol Malkoski (nee Muncaster). He is survived by his children Mitchell Malkoski (Cathy Nicholas) of Whitby, ON, Randy Malkoski (Angela Corbin) of Calgary, AB, Joanne of St. Catherines, ON and Rosanne of Milton, ON. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Linda Muncaster. Michael was predeceased by his parents. He worked at Inco for 25 years, and then branched out to start his own company, Mine Ltd. which he was still proudly running today.
My cousin Michael (Lanny) always left a lasting impression to say the least. I have so many great memories of time spent together. He could sure make his visits exciting for much younger cousins with magic tricks – sleight of hand and jokes. I wish I had the opportunity to know his children better but time and circumstance has not allowed this. My Mom, his aunt Helen, the last of the Malkoski clan is turning 96 in a couple of weeks and if any of Mike’s family wants to contact us ( there are 8 cousins in our bunch and we would love to share some family history and stories with you) I am experiencing a big regret that neither Mike or I reached out to each other over the last number of years – best advise to all is don’t wait!
