It is with great sorrow, the family announces the passing of Sylvia Irene MacNeill (nee Maki) at her residence on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Born in South Porcupine, on June 20, 1938, she went on to marry Robert MacNeill in Levack, ON in 1969, sharing 53 years together. Loving mother to James, Ron (Tammy nee Marcotte) and Chris. Cherished grandma to Hailey, Ryan and Jessica.
Sylvia was a fighter and a survivor facing many obstacles throughout her life always overcoming challenges head on. She leaves behind many fond memories of time spent at camp on South Bay, Manitoulin Island. Horseshoes and barbeques, she was an excellent cook and always ready to feed the boys after sundown. She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes, there will be no service or visitation.
Interment will take Place at Maple Crest Cemetery in Dowling at a later date.
