Lundy, Charles John – August 6, 1941 – February 18, 2021

Chuck was born in St. Thomas, ON, and raised in Belleville, ON. He married Sherryl Dickinson on September 4th, 1965, in Port Credit, and they embarked on a 55 ½ - year journey together, moving 9 times throughout Ontario during his 37 years with the Toronto Dominion Bank, raising two daughters, and making many dear friends along the way. A natural planner and problem-solver, Chuck loved to read, especially the Bible. He was fascinated by the weather and geography, which flowed into his interests of fishing, gardening, and travel. A dedicated barbecue’er, he also baked a mean Exploding Blueberry Pie. Chuck’s real passion, though, was serving the Lord with his wife, Sherryl, within their local church. They spent their retirement years caring for aging parents and growing grandchildren, showing hospitality to strangers, and meeting the physical and spiritual needs of loved ones near and far. We will never forget their countless trips to the airport! Chuck’s steadfast and generous spirit will be missed by his wife, Sherryl; daughters Darla Martin (Jamie) and Lisa Anderson (Mark); and grandkids Anastasia, Nathanael (Brenna), Ethan, and William. Chuck is also survived by his big sister Anne Davey (Dave) of Vancouver, BC, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends.

“How good it is to sing praises to our God” (Psalm 147:1).

  2. My thoughts are with you all as you deal with the reality of Chuck’s death. Death is difficult to deal with at any time but it must be particularly difficult with all the restraints that fighting this pandemic place on those grieving. May God grant you strength to deal with this extra strain.
