In Loving Memory of René Joseph Levesque, 66 years who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Deborah Levesque (nee Brown). Loving father of Raymond (Tracy), Jason (Carolyn), Melissa (Mark), Glenn, and Rose Marie (Scott). Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Kalum, Quinn, Isabel, McKenzee, Jadyn, Austen, Merinah, Jasper, Jeffrey, Ethan, and Bryce and great-grandfather of Abigail and Anna-Lease. Dear brother of Lorette, Marcel, Gilbette, Normande, Sylvio, Kenny, Guy, Normand, Mariette, and Rose-Anne. Born in Hearst, ON, he was predeceased by his parents Isabel and Alexina Levesque and by his brothers Ron, Gaston and Gerald. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. As per our Father’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be spread in two places that he loved, Stewart, BC and the Camp. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favourite charity, the Canadian Cancer Society or a local hospice. Our Dad worked hard all his life, in the bush falling trees, in mines across Canada and longshoring on the West Coast. He made a lot of friends in the mining world and started his career underground and finished on surface. A credit to his skills and ability underground allowed him to retire from the mining world intact and still in one piece. Our father was a tough man, and had a good fight in him, he was not able to tough this fight out. Dad loved being outdoors; in the bush he was in his element. Hunting, fishing and trapping were ways of life for him and he was in his glory doing those things. He loved to find new, better trails to a fishing hotspot or one he was unfamiliar with but had heard the fishing was good. Remember Rene for what he meant to you. Whether it was in the bush, on the water or underground, he loved what he did and did what he loved. We love you Dad.
