Lemire, Gilberte A. At 94 years of age, Gilberte passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2019, surrounded by her family at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. Predeceased by her husband Hubert and her son Robert. Amazing mother of Suzanne (Jean-Paul), Louise, Claudette (Joe), Lucille, Léo and Nicole (Greg). Cherished grand-maman of Roger (Natalie) [Karine, Xavier, Alexi], Robert (Christian) [Danik], Denis (Andrée) [Samuel, Zoé], Geneviève [Théo, Liv], Isabelle (Yovan) [Tchad, Elia, Lexie], Catherine (Alexandre) [Hubert, Jeanne], Jennifer (Isabelle), Julie (Tim) [Tristan, Alyssa, Jada, Asia, Jorda], Sylvie (Amber), Mélanie (Phil) [Carson], Gaston Jr., Natalie [Mila], Bernard, Gabrielle (Zach), Natasha and Sharlie. In the words of her late husband Hubert, Gilberte was described as beautiful, patient, tender and had a large capacity to love all. A Mass Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am in the University of Sudbury, Main Hall (935 Ramsey Lake Rd, Sudbury, ON). The hall will be open to family and friends as of 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made directly to Maison McCulloch Hospice or a charity of your choice. The family thanks the doctors, nursing staff and the numerous volunteers at Maison McCulloch Hospice; as well as PSW’s Kathleen and Tiffany for the special care given to Gilberte. A special thank you to her dear friend Yolanda for her sisterly love, to Joanne for her constant support; and to Gilberte’s family and friends for their never-ending love.
