Each of his grandchildren were his pride and joy, Janelle Radey (Curtis), Lindsay, Jennie, Patrick, Chloé, Toby, Gabrielle, Samuel, Téah; and great grandfather to Caleb.

Dear brother-in-law of Denise Lapierre (Albert), Marilyne Laronde, Denis St-Aubin (Emilia), Rachelle Barazzuol (Blaine) and Jean-Guy St-Aubin (Holly). Son of Lionel Lemieux and Mérina Brisson both predeceased.

Marcel was a miner at Stobie Mine for 30 years as a skilled Scooptram Operator. During this time, he resided in Warren for 25 years with his family and lived on a beautiful farm where they made so many wonderful memories. Although, his true happiness and passion was nestled on Washagami Lake. There he built a picturesque camp, which will forever be cherished by his loving family.

Marcel will be remembered for his smile, his laugh and the twinkle in his eye. Many nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart. Despite his long battle with cancer, he always truly enjoyed his family gatherings especially those shared with his friends, neighbours and coffee buddies. We would like to thank Dr. Vitali, Dr. Roch, and the nursing staff on the 8th floor for their compassionate care, which gave us more precious time with our dad.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes, Sudbury, Please contact David Sirois at 705-674-2727 ext. 237 or d.sirois@ssmd.ca and/or the Sudbury Food Bank.
