It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Gilbert Wilfred Joseph Lemay on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the age of 72 years with his sisters by his side. Gilbert will be greeted at heavens gate by his mother Alice and father Lionel. With grieving hearts he leaves behind his lovely sisters, Marie Claire (Jean-Guy), Lise, and brother Edmond. He will always be remembered as an amazing brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all family and friends. Gilbert spent his days making people smile and loved to draw and paint. He worked at CPR as an engineer working on trains. His passion for everything will never be forgotten.
The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for the care and compassion provided to Gilbert.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gilbert’s memory can be made directly to a Charity of choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
